G M Monk have been running an electrical apprentice programme for 25 years, with over 50 apprentices having become fully qualified electricians.
We work in partnership with JTL training provider to offer a holistic apprentice programme. Apprentices can expect a wide range of work place practical experience complimenting the theoretical knowledge gained whilst at college and independent study.
Our apprentices are fully supported via in house appraisals and progress reviews, JTL assessment visits and portfolio days, college reviews and ongoing assessments.
Apprentice selection process
We normally start our selection process in April of each year, ready for the start of the next academic year in September.
We review CVs submitted to us and generally offer interviews to 6-8 individuals, with 1-2 apprentice places being offered each year.
This can vary, our apprentices can expect to earn from the minimum wage upward and will depend on age and previous experience/college courses completed.
You will be at college for one day per week (paid) and will be expected to maintain an excellent attendance record.
